I'm studying the regulation of the 2-C-methyl-D-erythritol 4-phosphate/1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate (MEP) pathway in Picea glauca during drought stress. The main questions of my research are:

How does drought stress affect the MEP pathway and alter the capacity of the ecological interactions between plant and its environment.

The trait to emit or not emit isoprene could define a different regulatory mechanism occurring in the MEP pathway.
