Immigration office

All non-EU citizens and individuals who intend to stay in Germany for more than three months have to apply for a residence permit at the Immigration Office (Ausländerbehörde Jena).

The City of Jena's Immigration Authority has changed its processing workflows. To shorten waiting times for appointments and residence permits all applicants will be processed without a personal appointment. Therefore booking an appointment for a personal interview will not be possible any longer for this reason.

Accordingly, please send the corresponding application forms and all documents required (see below) either by post (Stadt Jena, Ausländerbehörde, Löbdergraben 12, 07743 Jena) or in an electronic format via email (to  antrag-abh@jena.de). Please do not send any original document. For further information and blank forms, please go to the website of the City of Jena and select the permit you need.

If there are any additional question, you will be contacted directly. To allow this, please make certain that you will be available  for answering any question by post, email or telephone. If a personal interview is required after the final review of your application, you will receive an appointment from the Foreigners’ Office at short notice.
