Sarah O'Connor appointed honorary professor at Friedrich Schiller University
On February 14, 2022, University President Prof. Dr. Walter Rosenthal appointed Sarah O'Connor, Director of the Department of Natural Product Biosynthesis, as an honorary member of the Faculty of Chemical and Earth Sciences at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Thus, the University of Jena further strengthens the close cooperation with our institute. Sarah O'Connor is now an honorary professor in the field of Biosynthetic Chemistry. In the university's press release, she says:
"I am delighted to be an honorary member of the Faculty of Chemical and Earth Sciences at Friedrich Schiller University. Jena has a number of exceptionally strong research departments and institutes, and we will only be strengthened if we work together. This appointment will further lower the barriers to collaboration and exchange between the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology and the Faculty of Chemical and Earth Sciences at the University of Jena. I am particularly looking forward to contributing to chemical biology at the university."
