Bill Hansson received the ISCE Silver Medal
The International Society of Chemical Ecology honored Bill Hansson for his lifetime achievements in the field of Chemical Ecology.
From August 18 to 22, the International Society of Chemical Ecology held its annual meeting in Christchurch, New Zealand. During the meeting, Bill Hansson, director emeritus of the Department of Evolutionary Neuroethology, was awarded the Silver Medal. The society presented this award to honor his achievements and contributions to the field of chemical ecology. Hansson studies how insects detect and identify odors, and how this information guides their behavior. Thus, he brings an ecological perspective to his studies.
