started in Jan 2010 Developing bioinformatics approaches to vexing problems in chemical ecology Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, Biologisch-Pharmazeutische Fakultät First Supervisor: Prof. I.T. Baldwin Co-Supervisor(s): Dr. E. Gaquerel, Prof. C. Kaleta (Department of Bioinformatics, FSU)
My research focuses on statistical analyses of complex molecular data sets. I am primarily interested in studying three main aspects associated with any new hypothesis generation mechanism in biological systems, namely – data analysis, pattern recognition and predicted refined models/systems. I studied time series of transcriptomics and metabolomics data set to understand defense mechanism of Nicotiana attenuata in response to an herbivore, Manduca sexta.
