My research focuses on statistical analyses of complex molecular data sets. I am primarily interested in studying gene-regulatory inference problem which aims to capture interactions present among genes. Given the expression data, the activation or repression actions by a set of genes on other genes can be predicted using three broadly applied techniques - Probabilistic graphical modeling, state-space representation models and information theoretic methods. I intend to apply these methods to identify biological processes affected by change in circadian clock components of Nicotiana attenuata using time-course microarray data sampled for silenced lines of LHY, ZTL, TOC1 genes in two different environmental conditions (Utah Field and Greenhouse).
