Current research topic

Investigating the regulation mechanisms of the chemical polymorphism in Thymus vulgaris from Southern France.

The project involves recombinant cloning of genes (mainly monoterpene synthases) from the different chemotypes that are involved in the biosynthesis of monoterpenes and their functional expression in microbial systems. The enzymatic studies further require protein purification and biochemical and biophysical characterization in vitro.
